Mesmerize making a come back!?!

On the phone with customer service yesterday evening regarding the many issues with my phone. I almost got a GalaxyII but the escalated service technician wanted to try yet another factory reset.

I was told the Mesmerize was so popular that, U.S, Cellular is bringing the phone back for yet another go around!

Any one else heard this?

I doubt it. I don't think that Samsung is going to resurrect the I500 just for one small carrier. If Verizon wanted the Fascinate again, I can see it happening, but I don't see USCC having enough market pull for Samsung to bother producing the Mez again.

Plus, the Mez is easily outstripped by the newer phones in USCC's lineup. It was their top of the line hardware a year and a half ago, but 18 months is a LOOOOOOONG time in smartphone years.

It has been replaced by a phone that has been on the market with other carriers for at least a year. It is 2 years old. That is ancient by cellphone standards. Even for USCC.
