Message app?

Is there a better message app than the one that came with my Hot Pepper? There is a scarcity of such apps at the Play Store - leads me to believe that there isn't any competition to the Google app... (Now that I think about...there is some message apps but they don't have name recognition for me. I don't like the size that my message app file gets. Thanks! Ok, so I looked again and the consensus on Play Store seems to be WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram,and atleast three others - with Telegram leaving the smallest footprint atleast at first...

I don't know why you say there is a scarcity of apps though: there is a huge number of message apps.

There are many, and I have tried many, but I always end up back with Textra, so as they have all mentioned it's a good alternative.

Google Message app is better app for Android Phone. Disable your system app and install Google Message app

My system app is Google Messages. And ironically that's the one I disable.

(What's best for one person isn't necessarily best for another).

I have also disable GM, as I have had more issues with that app that I can mention.
