Message Inbox Full

Hi I'm using the Nexus One right now... and I've been texting for a few weeks and its completely fine. Today, higher, everytime someone texts me it says in the notifications "text message memory full (incoming message rejected due to full memory. Please delete old messages...)". However, when I check my phone memory it says there is still 16mb left, and my sd card has 1.3 gb left. I went to "manage sim card messages" and it says there are no messages on the sim card. So i deleted some of my threads that had over 200 msgs and nothing happened

Whats up? I mean I thought it could hold infinite number of text messages.

Help please!

This is a problem I've heard a few times , some people have managed to sort this issue by putting there sim in another phone (not android) and looked at the inbox etc. Then placing the sim back in the phone.

Give it a try :)

I hate no A2SD, but I can bare not having that for a while although it REALLY SUCKS!

But this message box crap! What the HELL GOOGLE! No way to manage our SIM? You manage hundreds of PBs of data and I can't have a couple megs of space on my phone to play with? How can I choose to never save to SIM?

Hope this is sorted out soon. I have found no work around but deleting apps :( :(

What kind of issue is this? Android will always save SMS to the SIM and there is no way to save it to internal storage?
