PROBLEM: I obtained the "Message Memory Full" warning today on my rooted Galaxy mini.
This occurred just after I had added a lot of photos to my google contacts on my PC. I had selected google contacts rather than my phone or Sim for my contacts location.
SOLUTION: I went back to Google Contacts and deleted the photos. Hey Presto, I have started receiving texts again! If the other solutions have not worked for you, this is worth trying. You will need to wait for your contacts to sync before this works (or force a re-sync).
I have trawled solutions to this problem and was not able to find this particular solution. Hope this helps someone.
