Messages dropping

On my S8 in my Messages App, when i type a text and click Send, the message blows off screen and puts me back to my Home Screen. If it's a short message it sometimes goes through but most of the time the text just disappears. Does anyone else have the problem? I just downloaded a new Update a few days ago. Im not sure if this App got messed up. This was a preloaded App so I dont dare delete it because I can't reload it

You can't delete the stock messaging app, that is a system app that cannot be uninstalled at all, so no worries.
Try installing a different messaging app from the play store such as Textra and see if you like it
