Messages Stopped Working

I keep getting a message on my phone that says, "unfortunately messages has stopped working" and when I click my messages everything is empty. It doesn't show anything in my messages as if I never had a message there. Has anyone else had this happen? I am using original messaging app. Only way to fix is to turn on and off but that is becoming redundant. If anyone has any solution or input it is greatly Appreciated. Thank you.

I've never seen this so I can't be of much help.. BUT, you could try clearing cache and data for the messaging app. It will probably delete all your messages so make sure you back up anything important.

anyone else having this problem? when i click my messages it shows no messages as if all my messages were deleted..once i restart phone they reappear. pretty annoying i have to restart my phone 3 times a day. Any fixes out there?

odd issue indeed :hmmmm:
When did you start noticing this problem? As in, do you remember if you downloaded any app or did anything else happen to the device, then this issue started?

Would it be possible to try to use another messaging app temporarily to see if the issue persists?

Did clearing the cache and data as mydian suggested help at all?
