Messaging Area no theme?

Hey there, I figured this is the best place to get a question answered.
I have a LG Ally with android.

This morning I woke up to find that there was an update for my phone.
I installed it and noticed my text message area and my call area changed.
The messages went from just white I think to white for me and blue for the contact.
The call area went to a black and green theme where it grouped calls by person.

I like black and green so I downloaded a Crystal Venom Green theme and Pandahouse(?) to open it.

I love the look of the theme and the buttons and such, but it doesn't change the message area. I would really like this to be black and green with white text like every other menu. Is there a way to make this follow the theme or am I stuck with the white and blue messages?

Also I have SMS Popup installed so it changes the color of the LED for certain contacts. Hopefully this isn't screwing with anything, but I wouldn't mind deleting it if it is.

Any help is appreciated!

I also have the LG Ally, and mine did the same. I personally hate the white messaging. I was used to the back and would like to find a way to change it back also. Can anyone help?
