Messaging Changes

I recently updated my software on my note 9 to Andriod 9 or Pie. In the Conversations window, I no longer see the name(s) of each person I'm texting, but only thier photo, or an initial.

What happened to showing thier names and how do I get that feature back?

Not sure but you can always install a different messaging app from the play store. Textra works great

Thanks... I like the default app, (schedule messages feature the most), so I am hoping to find a solution for this immediate problem.
