Hi, I'm just trying to grasp the situation...
So if I text message you,
you don't receive anything ?

My texts show up top in the notification bar.
And I pull it down with my finger to see them.

There may be many issues that you are not receiving SMS.

1. First check that the stock sms application is there, and notifications are enabled for that application.

2. Check the memory as SMS are not received when the memory is full.

3. Try to install GoSMSPro Application from the market.

Solved my problem anyway.
Was annoyed that stock SMS didn't give reminders of unanswered txts. (I work in a noisy environment with earmuffs).

Still getting used to this phone and it didn't occur to me that there might be another/better app available.
