Metro 3g now actual 3g

Yeah but not in all the markets(So I've heard). In some parts of texas they are getting faster 3g speeds than 4g speeds.
 
Texas seems to be where Metropcs performs the best overall as it's where their headquarters is located.

I'm in the Dallas area and get pretty good results for most of the area; generally any where from 300 to 800. I know it's a quite a spread, but it's still decent. I don't have to wait for web pages too long. Those results are from the app speedtest.net. I also test with the web page Mobile Speed test. This web page gives me results of 1000+ Kbps on a pretty consistent basis. I do get some around 500 Kbps sometimes though.
 
Metro needs to update the tower where i live nearby 2 blocks and its internet at day is slow as ****. However if i go up around 7 Blocks my internet is actually EVDO. ANd no, i did not go up 7 Blocks to speed test. One day i downloaded speed test while chilling with friends up there and got actually good speeds. Around 1.2 MB Down and AVG .6 MB up.
 
It was the lg they just got its not mine so I cant recall the name but when someone gets a new im like hey let me play with it unless its a pos iphone
 
Sorry, but I refuse to call the crap Metro calls "3g" by that term.

On a Boost Mobile LG Marquee with REAL 3g I have watched YouTube vids with NO buffering and without turning on wifi.

Think I can do that on my Optimus M with Metro's "3g"?

LOLOL yeah right.
 
I've watched YouTube videos with no problem on EV.

I wouldn't call Metro's "3g" fast but YouTube doesn't require much to play anyway so it doesn't matter.

Happens to me too. At my grandparents in auburn, its about 0.98MB down and 0.30 up but back in sacramento, its like 30kb/s (kilobytes/s) up and 10kb/s down... :(

What is your plan and phone with metro?

NVMD, i saw in another thread that you have a samsung admire. time to upgrade. buy a 4g capable phone and your speeds will be better. other than uncapping a few areas metro has no plans of improving their CDMA network. EV is not gonna get much better than what it is now.

I wanna get the Huawei Activa 4G, just gotta sell off my non-Android phones, My Epson printer, and my old Camera and get some money from meh Grandparents and I'll have around $200 to spend...
