metro pcs update

I read somewhere that there would be a MetroPCS OTA update to Marshmallow sometime this month.

If you do it their way don't expect root, twrp, boot loader access. Metro has a history of screwing the end user BAD.
Ps. Thank our DEV's for their hard work.

Metro PCS and T-Mobile have exact same software so rooting would be the same for both devices when the OTA rolls out which I doubt it even will being honest.

Updated ( post #2 this thread ) so you won't have to read the whole thing.
 LoL.

I have the metro stylo on tmo's 6.0 (using the method another user shared in this thread)

It works just fine. Apns are even the same.

The only big difference is tmo's version comes with a little extra bloat like the amazon app and instead of the my metro apps theres tmo's brand of carrier bloat but you can always uninstall those and download metro's apps.

However in terms of service and billing nothing changed. I still get warnings when im low on high speed data for the month. Mobile hotspot (using tmo's tethering app) works just fine.

Imo theres no reason to hold out on metros version.

The only way id change my mind is if metro users got the update and swore it was different/improved compared to tmo's but i doubt it because tmo would make sure its users get it also seeing as how tmo is the "premium" carrier and metro is the straight talk of the situation.
