Metro PCS's Hidden hotspot plans

So, after much digging on the internets, lol, I was unable to find any adequate information regarding the new hotspot feature. Here is what I was able to find online...

"Please note that all tethering activity will go against your shared data bucket. You can top up your data bucket for just $5 per 500MB with Data Top-Up. Top-up today by calling 1-888-8metro8 or by visiting your local MetroPCS store or Authorized Dealer."

I visited my local store, the guy there says that when you buy one of the compatible phones you have to drop down to the 50 dollar plan and it will LIMIT your internet, both tethering and regular phone usage to 5 gigs. There is a smaller plan with either 2.5 of 3 gigs. After you fly through that little bit of data you may purchase pools of data at $5 per 500MB. The representative was very clear that there is NO unlimited plan for hotspot.

Hope this helps the next person looking for this "secret" info.

Its not secret. Its only available on the 50$ 2.5 GB plan and the 60$ 5 GB plans. At some point it might be available on the unlimited but they are waiting to see the usage.

This applies to the 4G LTE data only, you will always have unlimited 3G and WiFi

You can purchase more data for the 5$ fee you stated

Sorry, let me define secret. The ONLY INFORMATION ON THEIR WEBSITE IS THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE BLOCKS OF 500MB FOR $5.

None of the other information you've given can be found on the metropcs site. Unless of course you have a webpage I'm not seeing?

my guess is if you order and activate online it wont let you add it if you pick one of the plans it wont work for.

It isn't hidden just click view all services.then click hotspot.everything the other guy mentioned is there save for throttling but that is common knowledge.
