Metro+T-Mobile family plan

My girlfriend has a metro family plan. I wanna get her a T-Mobile phone.
My question is Is it possible to have a T-Mobile phone plus a metro phone as a new family plan since they both merge?

If I understand him correctly, he is wondering if you can have a phone(s) on the T-Mobile network and another(others) on the old Metro CDMA network on the same family plan. I don't believe it would be an issue, because they are wanting people to update to GSM phones, but I'd ask a Metro dealer to be sure.

To add a GSM phone you need one of the BYOD SIM kits then you call or go online and give the IMEI
