Metro vs t-mobile

So... I JUST found out yesterday that t-mobile offers prepaid... For just $30/mo you can get 100 minutes, unlimited text and 5gb of data... There's a way to get around 100 minutes, but does anybody think it's worth it? (its available with 4g devices)

hmm... in another thread, someone mentioned Ting.com... and I found out that you can pay for only what you use. For example, I can get 100 minutes, 1000 texts, and 500 GB of 3G/4G data for only $28/mo! or no minutes, 1000 texts, and 500 GB of data for $24/mo! Still can't decide...

I think this comes down to which gives you better signal where you work, play, live. In my area T-Mobile's service is far weaker then Metro's. I say before you buy try to check both carriers out. One might be cheaper but bottom line is if you don't get service does it really matter how cheap they are.

I wonder if I am using the same sight as you peaked my curiosity and I checked it out using there calculator tool. I think you might have gotten GB and MB mixed up.

According to there sight 500gigs of data a month would be around 11k dollars. 500mb a month is in line with the 28bucks thought.

500 MB.
https://ting.com/plans

the max you can get is 3000 MB which equates to 3 GBs.

Thats 500 megabytes that ting offers not gigabytes.
EDIT: Didnt see someone already said it.

The largest plan you can sign up for 3000MB (or ~3GB). Any megabytes beyond that is 2.25 cents/MB.

As they said you pay for what you use. If you go over you selected allocation of min/txts/data they bill you into the next bucket. If you don't use all your allocations then they credit you back on what you haven't used.

Technically you don't have to sign up for any of the allocations. You can go 0/0/0 and then pay for what you use.
