Metro won't unlock phone

I have an old Lumia 521 I used for about 6 months on Metro, but they won't give the unlock code. I tried calling customer service, and after 6 times, someone finally told me that the phone was a BYOD phone. Well, that's not true because the phone is locked to Metro (my T-Mobile sim won't work) and it when it boots, it shows a MetroPCS splash screen I even gave them the IMEI, but they said the same thing. Is there anything they (or T-Mobile) can do about this?

Dee, I bought my LG Motion at a Metro corporate store. Am I entitled to get an "unlock" code for it? Maybe it would work on Cricket's network if I could unlock it.

Its CDMA device so there is no unlock code, it doesn't even have gsm radios

I'm pretty sure corp doesn't have access to do it
