I have been getting this message on my phone on the lock screen where it used to say metro pcs on the bottom and also once in a while it will say no data with this number as well does anyone know what it means? I think its got something to do with the LTE but im not 100% on that. O yeah Galaxy S3 running Rom NumberTwo latest version.

Isn't that the # for the cdma. identifier in build.prop? I remember that # when I had to change the build.prop to get 4G back on certain ROMs

Yeah I'm not sure. Everything I found online pointed to LTE. Anyway for some reason my data works but nothing else no MMS/SMS or phone calls. I can make calls using joyn but if I'm not on the wifi it says no mobile network available. I called metro they walked me through a manual editing in the hidden menu that was supposed to fix it but it didn't. I have to take it to a corporate store they said. See how that goes.

might be a NV problem, go to about phone and see if you see your phone number MIN/MDN and also your imei and make sure its no all 0 or weird looking symbols.

Also did you try flashing anything before this happen?

Yeah I flashed a different ROM but didn't like it so I went back to the back up I made before I did the flash. I did a factory wipe because I was going to try and go to the store tomorrow. Anyway its working again and I even remounted the back up I made and its still working. I just would like to know what the issue was just in case but I guess the factory wipe fixed it.

before restoring any rom make sure to wipe everything even data and system. But glad your up and running.

I'm almost sure I did but I may have skipped over that by mistake. Yeah I'm glad too. So if this happens to anyone else I guess they can try and see if a factory wipe fixes it for them.

That happened to me the other day after I flashed MIUI rom. I restored the phone using odin and still nothing, I even tried to edit the settings using DFS and still nothing. Finally got it working by enabling the hidden menu (*#22745927) on a touchwiz rom, then dialing *#2263#, and selecting "Automatic". I got everything back up and running.

Yeah we tried the hidden menu while I was on the phone with metro he just had me reenter the phone number and another number don't remember what it was at this time but it didn't do anything.

It seems like what they had you do was reprogram the phone. That didn't do anything for me either. What worked was was I explained above which changed the radio band back to automatic, once I did that the service came back and the 311660 message disappeared.
