Ok guys I'm sure this is going to be a tough question and I know that a good way to find out is to just try out different rom and I have I tried orca,deviantxone, cm, pacman, carbon, metropolis, and wezenheimer (sorry if I missed spelled it) but still which one is good like would performance mods and etc thank you for any help
 
man walks into a used car dealership test drives 7 cars and ask the dealer which one is the best...... kinda of kills the reason for test drive in the first place dont u think?

lets make this simple only 1 in that list is supported in house by our in house dev shabby penguin theres another called the number 2 rom and i can assure u has nothing to do with the potty lol but also compiled and supported by another of our in house dev named Ldrifta all of the other roms on your list are compiled else where and currently dont have the techincal support as the 2 roms i mentioned.

I had a Kelly Green '68 Jaguar XKE12 back in the late 70's.
Awesome car... and a real chick magnet (if ya know what I mean) :p... and I loved it.

But when it came time for simple maintenance - even something as simple as brake pads - it took months to get them, and was a pain in the you-know-what. (I don't EVEN want to talk about super-simple tuneup stuff, like points, condenser, cap and rotor, etc...)

I think, basically, that's what Dr. N4zty is talking about.

I say - go with what you like the most, and serves your needs best... but just remember - if something goes wrong, for whatever reason, you may - or may not - find the support you're looking for when you need it.
I had a Harley for transportation while the Jag was in the shop, waiting all those months for parts to arrive from across the pond... but, unlike my car at the time... you may need your phone to work - dependably on a daily basis.

Wow, it's amazing when everyone says that "if you have problems we are here to support you" and yet when someone asked a question simply because maybe they are not at the level or simply they thought they could get the friendly support, they get jammed on. Pretty sad that many of you forget that many of the people on this forum are not and will never be at the level you are for whatever reason. Some simple questions just need a simple reply just as if you were asking your best friend knowing he would give you a supportive answer but it now seems everyone is above us simple guys and if we are not at your level than we aren't good enough for this forum. Pretty F#^king sad!!
 
The difference is that asking anything about what is the best is always personal preference. All ROMs and mods don't always run the same on every phone even if they are the same make, model, carrier whatever. Just my 2 cents

Wow.

Well, I guess the analogies N4zty and I posted didn't work for ya, or was misunderstood... so, I'll put it another way;

We have many great ROMs available, but the one that works best for MY phone, may not work best on YOURS. It's just the way different hardware works with various firmware.
It's the nature of the beast, and nothing can be done about it.
By anyone.
Period. It doesn't matter how good a Dev is, or thinks he is - he can't fix Ghost in the Machine.

On top of THAT, is the fact that all those different ROMs have different features, characteristics, etc. - FOR A REASON... which is why we have so many in the first place. "Different strokes for different folks".

To say "Well, THIS ROM is the BEST", is like saying "Chocolate is best - NOT Vanilla."

For ANYONE to say OTHERWISE is nothing more than sheer arrogance.

Try them out, test drive them all, and make up your OWN mind - based on your personal preferences.
We're here to HELP, 'if and when' we can - NOT to tell YOU what your personal preferences should be.

Here - let me say it this way, from MY opinion;

MOST of the 4.1.2 based ROMs work best (on MY phone), compared to the 4.2 based ROMs (which, based on MY opinion, are still too buggy), and seem to have more options than the ICS (4.0) based ROMs. (not to mention being smoother than 4.0 (ICS) based ROMs)
I personally tend to prefer 4.1.2 TW ROMs, but others may like CM/AOSP/AOKP based ROMs. (oh hell... they're ALL based on AOSP, in one way or another)

Be it TW, or CM/AOSP/AOKP based, is up to YOUR OWN personal "tastes" - one is NOT "better" than the other, in any way... other than personal opinion or taste.
 
On second thought - try KingKang and BlackBean. They're both really good AOKP based ROMs, but with different "flavors".
Then, you tell us which is best - Chocolate, or Vanilla.
 
Let me have at it with an analogy....;)

It's like saying there's only one women for all men...... Errrrrrr NO!

There's all different kind of women different personalities, different looks... Some big small tall short... And just because Angelina Jolie works for Brad Pitt, doesn't mean she'll work for me Lolz.

Also it come down to your liking whether you like them with big knockers or prefer the nice tight rear end;) he he.

We're not ragging on anyone for asking what the best rom is but when you've tried every rom and ask someone else which one is better it doesn't make sense when you should be able to figure that out on your own if you used them all.
