Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Codec pack/s?

I love the stock player, but it doesn't play all movie file types .. Like .avi .. Does anyone have a link to a good/trusted codec pack?

Also, I'm running BB7 4.2.X

I apologize it just seems like the best solution to me.
I've always hated installing codecs, even on my computer I just VLC player
People and their preferences... Why can't everyone just have mine

It is but it's still in beta and apparently incompatible with our s3.
However I'm sure you can sideload it no problem.
