Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Hotspot for Xbox?

I hope this is the right section I'm not sure, I'm trying to use my hotspot for wifi on my Xbox. My Xbox picks up my wifi it just doesn't connect, says something about my ip . Any suggestions?
 
Even if it did work, your online gaming experience might be Laggy..you'll be better off to just get a WiFi router if that's the case :/
 
Try wifi hotspot treve mod and use master ap i believe and it should get it. Theres a thread here on what options to put. I used it and worked for my ps3. Normal hotspot didnt work for me but the app worked when i changed the type of connection.
 
With the mod when i try to connect i get can't connect to static ip.And i dontcare about lag its just for tonight :P
 
I'm running Metropolis 1.3.0 and I'm tethering fine. Make sure your hotspot is open without a password. On your xbox you'll see a yellow exclamation Mark while trying to connect. All is saying is that even though you have connected there is still some things that won't work. ..Which I have yet to find out what it is that isn't working. . Try it let me know if it works;)



Edit: btw I'm using the tethering built in under phone settings.
