Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] need help to manually

is there an easy way to manually update my prl been *228 is not working
i tried dfs i pick the prl then hit write it goes thru the motions but when i do reset and the phone reboots when i go to status it still has the old prl.??
then i tried qspt the same thing hit write to phone nothing

What ROM are you usimg? Did you put phone in RMNET + DM + MODEM mode? Did the drivers install properly for all three? Did you connect to right com port? Does dfs show or phone info? Try alternative programs like CDMA WS or qpst. I usually use qpst for this phone. If all else fails flash to stock 4.0.4 ICS and enable iothiddenmenu and rename 2034.prl to test.prl and place in root directory and flash within the data menu. If you got dual core processor make sure you install the drivers correctly. I'm sure T-Mobile is working on releasing a new prl thats compatible with the merger so if you can hold off till then don't waist time and effort.

yes all the steps you mention were taken i'm running metropolis 1.3
i can communicate with phone
