Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Question about compatibility

Is it possible to flash any rom from cricket or ucs like chaos, vanilla root box etc to metro pcs galaxy s3? Since they're similar i... What would happend if i tried flashing one?
 
I think you have to change build.prop and maybe APN...not sure since I've never personally flashed a cricket or UCS ROM...

What would i need to change in build.prop? .. Does usc and cricket cdma? Sorry i just wanna try other roms but making sure first before flashing.

Again, I myself have not done this like I've pointed out before...I think waiting and seeing if someone else who has done this weighs in on this thread is a better idea...

yeah your absolutely fine to flash any usc rom, i not sure about cricket tho...

and as for build.prop.. just take one from our roms and use it.. ake sure it based on same fw tho.. like a cm11 rom use one of our cm11 build.props etc..

and if you flash a usc rom and get a status 7 error, its because the installer-script.. so you need to open it and remove the 'assert.get.prop' lines so it can flash

also i believe you coul have other small issues but everything should work for th most part..

any specific rom ideas?

Awesome news because i wanted to try roms like root box, orca project, 4.4.2 aokp for usc (since they dont officially support d2mtr, vanir rom etc.. Roms that officially dont support our galaxy s3... Thanks again and if i have other question ill come right back to this thread...
