Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Sms splitting in 4.2.2 Roms?

I'm rooted and on 4.1.2 Jellybean, when I flash a 4.2.2 rom I am able to get picture mms sent, but if I try to send a long sms it never sends. I tried Gosms to split up the message so it gets sent but I can't receive a long sms from other people. On 4.1.2 roms I don't have the problem.

For example, on Carbon 4.2.2, MMS didn't work from the get go but after flashing mms.apk from another rom it worked for sending pics, but not for MMS text.

Am I doing something wrong when I flash roms or is this a known bug?

i think its just a bug in 4.2.2 because aokp 4.2.2 also has the same issue apparently...

hi guys, i was just wondering what mms apk you guys used on carbon to have it send mms messages properly. Last time i had one and i tried to put it on carbon it failed on me. Links, names, point in the right directions is appreciated
