Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] software update on metro w/ stock

hey guys, just wondering if its safe to go through with metro's update on my s3. my worries are will it affect my root, will it wipe my phone, can I restore a backup if its buggy? help please

its safe its a samsung update not a metro pcs update, suppose to patch a bug on the phone.

nah old one since way back when. but I was nervous. so i made a back up, did the update and then my phone blew up!!

its the update u get when u first get your phone lol the samsung update u get a notifcation at top saying theres a samsung update to fix a bug.
