Root [MetroPCS/CDMA] Software update when?

welcome to the forums you must of just gotten your gs3 and congrats. theres a samsung update that you get notified of when you get the phone, you can go ahead and let it do the update some people say you should avoid the update beacause the update ruins your phone! all i will tell you is that me mikey joshua and a few others have done the update and did not ruin our phones, for some it did ruin their phones my guess would be those that got it before october 22nd got the ones that were not sent back to samsung to fix a bug they found with the firmware and those that got it october 22nd and beyound got the working ones. i cant prove any of this just a theory. but for now my phone is running great. another thing if u meant the official jellybean update ota=over the air that was never stated nor rumored and to be honest most forum users will agree metro hate giving out free updates especially ota. with that being said we have already roms being developed for our phone like the cm10 and the black bean which are build from jellybean 4.1.2 so regardless of metro giving us updates or not we shall have 4.1.2!!!

its a samsung firmware update it mentioned something about fixing a bug. some users reported getting the wrong update and instead getting an update meant for us cellular gs3 which have the same model but isnt lte i believe. when i bought the phone on a monday on exactly the oct 22 i didnt know anything about people complaining about the update ruining their phone so i did it and really didnt notice anything different. it wasnt till i got home started playing with the phone and went to this subforum where i started reading all these threads about not updating, i was confused beacause my phone was just fine..... but anyways i have not heard any more complaints about such updates runing anymore phones so perhaps samsung fixed their ota confusion probs? dunno if anything metro corp can give you a brand new gs3 just ask nuttmeg lol
well I gotten the S3 since launched from MetroPCS and decided not to roms it I guess I'll wait for the JB to hit on the update, I've read that it been delayed up to somewhere 2013.

Well for other carriers like at&t they will be getting the update metro PCs? Is unlikely but who knows they might surprise us.

Doubt it myself too. But we already have aokp, cm10 and BlackBean being actively developed, all are jellybean 4.1.2 like you said. Not to mention all of them are better than plain jellybean anyways lol. Why wait, flash away

Oh yeah this rom are better anyway so metro can ignore us we will be jelly happy with all this beast roms

Absolutely men I used to be skeptical about flashing roms but it's just amazing in how performance shows on cm10 makes stock look slow

Yea speaking about the pie I have yet to see a sneak peak looks like I'm gonna have to Google around and see what features they offer.
