he has it for AT&T, i dont know if it works for metro but if it doesn't why don't they? is it really that hard.. i'd pick vanilla android over touchwiz in a heartbeat.

That style of ROM is a normal AOSP ROM. There are several posted here of that. In fact that video shows a regular Android 4.2 ROM which have been updated. Check out Illusion or Carbon ROM you will be happy.
 
Why don't you guys just inform him on which AOSP ROMs there are for this phone? OP, check out CM10.1, CarbonROM, and Illusion ROMs on this board. Our device name is d2mtr. To me Carbon is the best ROM. Good luck to you

?? I did that, of coarse I'm not going to name ALL the ROMs here but 2 of the 3 you named I did too.
 
if ur looking for anything 4.2 stock for us variant nothing for now. but plenty of aosp roms on 4.2. in terms of which specific feature your looking for is up to you to fot search that. i personally dont bother with aosp roms anymore since im a tw fan and everytime im on a aosp rom theres always one that has something that previous rom didnt have so for me its just one huge endless chase looking for something that keeps me using it for a long time. instead i found that with metroplois which we have deodexed with lots of mods to give it a aosp rom look but with the features only found on stock tw rom.

You are right even though im a big fan of carbon rom tw has many features i like
