Help MetroPCS Galaxy Avant loosing LTE and Data

I recently switched back to MetroPCS and went with the Samsung Galaxy Avant. Since both my wife and I have switched we have had a problem. Every so often the data stream will change fro "4G LTE" to "4G" and when it does we have no data connection. It lasts anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. It doesn't seem to be a signal issue because it may do this when we have full LTE signal. We contacted MetroPCS and had both accounts reset and the problem persists. And it's not one location thus far, it happens in our home, work and during road trips.

So i'm looking for some help, is there anyway to lock the phone to LTE signal? Has anyone else had the same problem? Any help is immensely appreciated. Not sure if it matters but I live in the Central Florida area near the coast.

Thanks again!

Hopefully someone in your area can chime in if they are having similar issues. Have you tried checking your Network Settings to see if you have a "Preferred Network Type?" If you do, try setting it to LTE Only and test it out. As you can guess, you will still see connection issues when you are not around a LTE signal. My suggestion is to find a spot where your problem happens, switch 1 phone to LTE Only and monitor the situation. If you do not have any of these options, you may have to use Dialer Codes while on the stock rom to get to some of the hidden menus. Let us know how it goes.

Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to warranty that, cause it sounds more like a phone issue than a metro issue. I would use my warranty on both phones and just get new ones. If the problem persist I'd go ahead and get a Metro Rep to make a ticket for you so they can get a technician to check your service.
