MetroPCS in SoCAL?

I live in the 90201 and metro coverage sucks... Great price but no 3g coverage and voice quality isn't good, a lot of dropped calls. If you like metros prices consider t-mobile's prepaid plan... Better coverage better phones and better prices

I think it depends on what phone you have...I have relatives who have better good quality calls with a flashed smartphone vs a metro-brand phone.

If you went to metro for their 3G then you made a big mistake. Their 3g is low end(their 4G is also low end but good enough for streaming).

As far as dropped calls, never had this issue but I live in Detroit.

i live in LA and i have great reception everywhere. i have gone to SF & Las Vegas and no issues.
the 4g is about 2 download 2 upload, the 4g is not everywhere, sometimes it drops to 3g, but i would says it is pretty decent, i've been with them for more than 2 years and im not planning on changing them! :)

I can tell you this-if you're in downtown L.A. or the 2-3 miles around it the 3g is pretty fast. Leave downtown and it gets weak quick.

In Long Beach, same deal. 3-4 bars in the downtown area, you leave and you're fluctuating between 1-2 bars of 3g and 1x.

In Santa Ana it's a little better. 3-4 bars of 3g downtown, upon leaving it dropped to 1-2 bars. However I did not one time see a 1x symbol.

I would have posted my speed tests but I accidentally deleted them.

I'm in the 91706 area and I have great service. I usually get around 2.5 mbps on 4g. Haven't experienced any dropped calls. I own a lg esteem and I have no complaints, I hear other people clearly and 4g is just fine.

If there's anyone in the 714/OC area who has a 4g phone I'd like to hear from you.

When I bought my Optimus M a year ago I didn't know about this place and was basically flying blind; a mistake I don't intend to repeat.
