MetroPCS taking away picture messaging on 3G Plans

Anyone got any information about this. I went to a Metro store to ask and they said that the 3G network is going down in mid 2014 and when people with 3G phones try to send a picture messages. It does not work. We have several customers that reported this problem. They send me to the new phone selection unpleased with the answer I walked out the store.

it's bull, CDMA isn't shutting down till 2015 as of right now
