Help MHL adaptor not working

Hi There,

I recently bought a MHL adaptor and I did everything that I thought I had to do to set it up.
so I plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy S5 and then into my TV. the problem was that it was registering that it was plugged in but it wasn't showing any picture.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

There are 2 types of MHL adapters, those which work with Samsung and those which work with all other MHL devices, so the first question is are you sure this is a Samsung-compatible one?

Okay the MHL Adapter that I bought works with all kind of devices but it also says it works with the Samsung galaxy s5
