I have an LG Stylo 2 Plus and I bought aa MHL kit with a built in power supply and a 5 prong mini usb for connecting to my phone with an attachable 11 prong adapter if neeeded. However, when I plug in the 5 prong only thee charging featuree works- not the media transfer to the tv. The 11 prong does absolutely nothing at all. Is my MHL going to work for this phone or not? Do I need something else? It works fine on my girlfriend's Samsung Galaxy.

You may be out of luck. I've not found anything that I would consider to be definitive, but everything I have found suggests that the Stylo 2 Plus does not support MHL(*). Certainly there are many LG devices that don't, including the original Stylo. More LG devices support an alternative called Slimport, but as far as I can tell the Stylo 2 doesn't support that either.

Having used MHL with different devices (HTC and Samsung) all I've ever had to do was plug it in, attach a power supply, and connect to the display. So if that doesn't work my guess is that it's simply not compatible.

(*) I found one random online retailer listing it on an advert for MHL adapters, but I have no confidence whatsoever that they were doing anything other than listing every phone they could think of to improve their search rankings.
