Help Mic disappears from keyboard

My keyboard used to have a microphone icon I'd touch to get voice input. Now, it doesn't. How can I get that function back?

Check its settings. I use Hacker's Keyboard and in its settings, under "Voice input," there are various options, including 'off.' You may have inadvertently disabled it, or maybe an update broke it, or...whatever, but check its settings.

If the keyboard's settings don't hold the answer, check your system settings for anything related to 'voice' or 'input methods,' etc.

This very much depends on the keyboard. You may have had an update that moved it.

Once the keyboard is active hit the top left icon to see if it changes the options you see on top of the keyboard. Also try hitting the settings button on the opposite corner to see if it is hidden in there.

There's usually a setting in the keyboard for whether you show this key or not (it's one of the first things I turn off). So I'd check your keyboard settings before doing anything else.
