Hey, welcome aboard MRobillard. It's great to have you join our ranks. Rooting the D2 huh. I'm not certain which device the D2 is. :( I will leave you links to the phone and tablet areas here at AF. Open the link that applies and then find our device in the list.
Give that a click and you will be in the discussion area for your device. Each device area has a All Things Root area... where root information and support is found. Make certain you are in the area for your device.. scroll to the bottom of the page.. and you will see the All Things Root link. Give that a click and whala. You are there and the root information is for your perusal. Read and read again.. Take your time.. root is a process not a race. Know your path well before you proceed.
