Help Micro SD card Capacity

aaaaaaaaa.jpg
im doing a data test on the 400gb card before i put it in (takes about 4 hours). but the phone should be able to use 400gb.

OK Card is legit. The Note 8 recognizes the card.

this entire process took a bit over 6 hours because the program wrote a file to the card to fill it up then verified the data to make sure all the bytes can be accounted for.

see photos. they show how it was written with files to fill up the capacity and were verified. the format on the windows machine and the format once the note 8 got a hold of it.

Ive been putting any and everything i can on this card.

The Galaxy Note 8 comes standard with 64GB of storage in the US. While this sounds like a lot, recording 4K UHD video or downloading music can quickly eat up this space.

Thankfully the Note 8 accepts microSD cards up to 256GB in size and there are plenty affordable options available. I recommend using only UHS-1 U3 Class 10 SD cards for best results (this SanDisk 64GB micro SD card can be found on Amazon for $30.95).

To insert an SD card, just follow these steps:
  1. Insert the SIM removal tool or small paper clip into the tray at the top of the phone
  2. Press firmly until the tray pops out slightly and remove the tray with your fingers
  3. Snap SD card into place
  4. Reinsert tray into the device and make sure it's inside all the way

How does the system use the external storage? Does it default to filling up its internal storage first? Is internal faster than external, or is it all just storage and it would be completely transparent to us?

You can pick which goes where. For example anything I get from OGyoutube goes straight to my external. But photos and audio and video recordings go to my internal

the phone does not natively give you an option (that i have found ) to pick what goes where. it will fill up the internal first./

you can go into dev options and force the option to move things to SD (like the old kit kat days)/ this is what I did because i want things like whatsapp, to go to ext card.

Question, you all want the leather card for storing apps you download them to keep memory free from the internal storage I get that. But, what happens when your card does fill up? You need all the app data and such that is stored on the card or you will lose all the progress in your app games won't you?
