micro sd card not going in properly?

[Android Question]

Just got a Acer iconia a1 and when I try to insert the micro SD card it doesn't seem very stable, loose almost?
And the tablet doesn't recognise it?
Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to AndroidForums.com. The microSD is held in with a spring locking mechanism. Sometimes you can use your fingernail to push the card in far enough to lock in. Some devices have it recessed further where you have to use something like a paperclip or pen to push the card in far enough for it to lock in. When it is locked in, it will not move.
