Help Micro SD card won't lock.

Does anyone have trouble getting there micro SD card in? Is there a trick to it? I can get it in but it won't lock. It just bounces in and out. How'd you guys get it to lock? I put it with the groves facing up, that's correct right? Numbers obviously on top.

Wow this is so noob lmao. Thanks.

It has to be pressed in a little further than flush with the side of the case to lock. The card will then spring back up until it is flush. I use my fingernail to push it in but you could use another card or something else small if that won't do it.

I though it was hard to latch the first time but I've had it in and out 3-4 times now and it is easy now that I made it work once.

MicroSD cards are made fr people with nails. If you just have a sausag finger, you won't be able to get it in or out without a tool =)

Thanks guys lol. I got it. Quick question regarding it again, does the notification have to stay in the notification bar the whole time? Or can you disable that somehow?

Unfortunately it has to stay there, which I didn't like at first. But it does provide easy access to the storage card if you click it because it allows you to open up the external SD card storage folder and easily remove it.

Yea ..as said its a fingernail job to get the card in, bit random but does anybody else miss the the home button like phones have?

got a 32gb card today....tried to put a bunch of HD movies on it, but that requires NTFS (>4gb each)...the transformer was not able to read NTFS, so I had to put it back to Fat32 :(

I hope that they will change that.

Oh, and H264 720p video was choppy and without sound...I think it's a codec issue (tried 2 different video players from Market)

@ mihaelb: It's a Tegra 2 issue. It can't play back high profile HD videos. It has to be main profile, or lower. I would bet the video you're playing is high profile.

You can tap the clock at the bottom right of the screen to bring up the quick settings and slide the "Notifications" item off and it will hide the SD card indicator.

I believe this shuts off all notifications though so that may not be so good.

Sorry, this is beyond me :)

is this something that's going to be fixed, you think?

No unfortunately I think it's a limitation of the chip and can't be resolved via software. Video content is limited to SD. Another freaking blunder with Android tablets!

You can check your videos by using this utility: MediaInfo

Download it, Install it and then drag and or open your video.

I can get my micro SD cad to lock and when I insert it it begins to read it and then stops.... it won't "see" my micro SD card when its in the microport but when i put it in the adaptor and into the regular SD port in the keyboard it works. how come my micro port wont read my microSD???
