Micro SD Not recognized?? WHYY???

Hi! I'm getting absolutely annoyed now... For my LG Optimus, I bought an 8GB Micro SD Card. For first few days it was working fine, but then it started acting up. Sometimes it recognizes the card, sometimes it doesn't! First a message was popping up "SD Card Removed" and "SD Card is Damaged". I tried everything! Removing the card, inserting the card again, i even completely resetted the Android to its factory setting but error still showed up! Then I went to replace the card (i figured it might actually be the card that is damaged), but the error message is still showing up! Resetted mobile to factory settings, formatted card millions of times, removed, placed card back in, removed battery, placed it back in, but error still comes up and it's becoming absolutely fustrating now! Error even with the new card.... Can someone please help me out here??? ( I want to use my Android as a portable "Portfolio" but can't if it's constantly acting stupid! It's an Android 2.1 on a GT40. The rest of the mobile works like charm only this.... Thanks for your help!!

I would suggest having someone else try the SD cards in their phone. That way you can rule the cards out.

If the SD cards work, then the odds are that there is something wrong with the SD slot on your phone. That incurs a trip to the place you bought it from, or an warranty replacement call.
