This is more of a general question than anything, but will having a micro usb cord that has a different amount of pins harm my phone?
I ask because I just bought a nook simple touch. The cord provided is pretty nice and by far the longest of all cords I have, but it is 12 pins as opposed to most cell phones that have 5 pins (including the Epic 4G Touch).
I would really like to reduce carrying 2 or more cords with me everywhere I go if I can
Edit: it actually has 5 pins. Was reading online that Nook Color & Nook tablet have 12 pins.
