Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus - Wifi Connect Password Enabled only after 13 characters

Purchased an A110Q Android 4.2 phone. when the Wifi Network is selected the Connect Key Lights up (Enabled) only after 13 characters are typed. To connect to another wifi network it lights after 9 characters. It seems there is some pre-set setting or saved setting for password length depending on the wifi network. The net result is that the connect key does not get enabled for shorter passwords and I cannot connect to wifi.
Has anyone else faced this issue and how is it resolved?

I have not heard of this issue. Have you tried forgetting the network under Wifi Settings and connecting to it again? Sounds like you recently changed the password or security type on the WiFi.
Also, make sure it is WPA and not WEP.
