Microphone App and Battery App

Combo question.

Microphone- looking to use DroidX (Gingerbread) as a recording device and want to lay it on table- looking to boost the mic or have an external jack mic recommendation


Battery- posted in another forum-conflicting answers. Looking for an App to stop the battery charge at 95%. Yes, I know that they say it does not matter etc- but it does on my Lenovo LI-IO laptop battery for sure.

I have one which is ASUS brand. It stops charging after 95% even 99% complete.
