How many people here use a seperate microphone for their PCs or laptops?

I'm looking at this one for my nephew who thinks he's a rapper.

That's what the advertising says for that setup. I used to have a plantronics plastic mike for my first PC. That was back in the 1990's though. Just being able to record on a computer was to cool for school back then. Burning a CD cost way extra.
