MicroSD class... does it matter?

Hey guys does it matter what type of class the MicroSD is using? I'm probably going to be heavy on video viewing and was wondering if there is a class number that I should be aiming for smooth playback or does it not matter?

Second question, most of my older videos are encoded for my long gone iPhone, will it look blocky on my upcoming Nexus One? Will it fill the screen or will it be playing at its native resolution with black letterbox all around?

Much appreciated to those who feedback!

The higher the number the quicker the card

I cannot see why not, I play Vids on my Hero made for Blackberry. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

The faster card will be better for transferring files to/from a PC, but don't expect a huge performance boost on the phone itself. The HTC Hero basically maxes out on class 2 cards, and it's likely every other android phone currently out does as well.

Compare the size, resolutions, colors, and refresh rates on the screens. That should give you a good idea of what to expect.
