Microsoft Outlook Sync

I currently use Google Sync to sync my Microsoft calendar with Google calendar but just found out that software will no longer be active as of 8/1/14. Does anyone use other software to synch outlook to Google?

I keep my Outlook calendar & contacts in a Hotmail account and sync to Android using the following method (which doesn't require any apps).

But if keeping your calendar in a Hotmail account on Outlook doesn't work for you, then check out the Syncdroid.net. They maintain a list of the available sync software options for Outlook-to-Android in a nice feature-grid. (Note that the "Wireless" column means cellular data like 3G/4G.)

Gsyncit is popular and works well. You install it on your PC and it syncs your Outlook calendar to a Gmail account, which then syncs with Android.

CompanionLink is also popular but it may be overblown for what you need since it syncs to CompanionLink's servers (which is a bit scary) and requires that you run their apps on your phone.

MyPhoneExplorer is popular (requires software on both ends) but it only syncs over USB or when on the same WLAN.

Outlook4Gmail might also be a good choice.

Good luck!
