Migration Fees

Hello all. I recently became a new contract customer with T Mobile. Fortunately, I did not purchase my phone through them, so I am only paying for my service. I am two months into my contract, and eyeballing their new uncarrier plans. I heard there were no longer any early termination fees, so that made if VERY appealing, considering I just came from an MVNO. So while I was looking into making the switch, I was surprised to see a $200 migration fee. Now, there's usually a discount or waiver available SOMEWHERE. I was wondering if anybody knew of a way around the migration fee in my case? I'm sure there are many who could take advantage of it if there were a way.

On a side note. I have a membership with FACT (Federation of American Consumers and Travelers) that offers a corporate discount for T Mobile. I was wondering if anybody knows whether or not their discount applies to the uncarrier plans?

Since you don't owe on a phone I betcha they'll waive the migration fee. Your corporate discount will likely apply too - mine did. Dial 611 and ask firmly but nicely. They'll want to keep a new customer happy.
