Milestone rumored for Jan 26th launch on Telus

I have a feeling this is going to be $199 or $299 on a 3-year plan. Most likely $599 or $699 no-term.

Telus does not sell unlocked versions, but you could always get one no-term and unlock it.

A rep at a TELUS stand was very cryptic about the milestone. When asked he made a contorted face and said "well I saw the motorola rep a few weeks ago, we were supposed to receive them at the end of the month, but they may not be on sale until early march".

So, yeah. More non-answers to our burning question. I'm betting on a mid-february release though.

From BGR this morning:

"Canadian Android aficionados who wait with baited breath for TELUS to release the Motorola MILESTONE might soon be able to breathe easy if a new rumor has any truth to it. According to the folks over at MobileSyrup, TELUS recently sent out a memo its employees that the MILESTONE will make its debut on February 18th with pre-orders at Best Buy starting as soon as the 5th. Pricing wasn’t mentioned, but it’s looking as if the MILESTONE start at $199 and max out at $549 without contract"

Best Buy DOES take pre-orders today! 50 bucks up-front, in-store only. Should I pre-order it there or wait to get both the phone and a new plan at a telus store?
