Hi guys.

I am interested in this Mini-X Android TV box which has the Allwinner A10 chipset. Has anyone bought one of these yet? I think Pineriver is the manufacturer..

The Allwinner A10 chipset is gaining popularity in tablets and HDMI sticks due to it's good performance and low price, but I have not seen it in a TV box until now.

Does anyone have this box yet, and can provide feedback?

Thanks!

Surprised you don't know there most well known A10 set top box which is the Mele A1000/A2000. It exposes all the features of the A10 chipset, HDMI, VGA, ethernet, SPDIF, USB, SATA dock, SDcard, USB, WiFi.

The Mini X is same chip minus ethernet, SATA dock, SPDIF, VGA, it comes with Android 2.3 but there is an update to 4, not sure if that comes preloaded or you have to install yourself.

If buying a set top box the Mele is a better option, it has regular firmware updates you can manually download plus a patch to enable AC3/DTS audio playback which A10 Android does not normally support.
