Help Minor issues with new phone

Hey all

Yesterday I got my first S3 after upgrading from my Nexus. I like the phone as I can already tell it's much faster, but there are few issues I'm having.

1) I can't get the keytone to turn off. I've gone into settings and sound and checked the box off so that it shouldn't make a sound when using the keyboard. But every time I type anything the sound is there.

2) Is there anyway to make it so my phone does NOT light up whenever I receive a text?

These are both very minor things but things I figured would be able to fix/edit.

Hi, sorry can't help with the keyboard sound, but if you open "Messages", touch the Menu button (bottom of the screen), go to "Settings", scroll down and near the bottom there is an option for "Notifications", uncheck the box and see if this does what you want. Phil

p.s. For the keyboard sound, go into "settings", "My Device", scroll down to "Language and input", tap "Settings" by the side of "Samsung Keyboard", select "Advanced", untick both boxes for "Key-tap vibration" and "Key-tap sounds", hopefully this will cure your problems. Phil
