Minutes used w/o answer

Is it normal to get charged minutes if a call isn't answered and goes to voicemail? I didn't think so but my mins are being used every time I reject a call. My new monthly cycle started yesterday and I'm already down 4 minutes for 4 rejected calls.

I don't think that's supposed to happen. Call VM about it. I could understand if you was the one going to voicemail, but they shouldn't charge you for not answering your phone.

Are you using the stock manual Reject function, or did you install a 3rd party app for rejecting unwanted calls? Some 3rd party apps might reject calls by answering them then handing up on them, which would obviously use minutes.

I just checked my account online and it's showing the same thing. What the heck? I realize we're charged for outgoing calls even if no one answers, but incoming unanswered calls have never subtracted from available minutes.

Within the last few days I received the "system update complete" notification that indicates my account has been moved to their new system... now this. I don't recall seeing anything about this in the updated Terms of Service, and I did actually read through them. Did I miss something?

Yea, I started noticing this since the system update. Before that, I don't recall being charged. I'm on Harmonia rom.

I'm still having this issue. Spoke with Virgin 3 times and the only thing they offer to do is give me credit, they haven't been able to stop the annoyance in the system.

I noticed this when I had virgin mobile as well if you use the call rejection (slide the red phone), but it doesn't happen if you use the volume rockers to silence the call
