Google removed MiraCast a CPL yrs ago, to push Chromecast product but unfortunately it's WiFi dependent and not everyone lives with WiFi availability. MiraCast is a bigger deal to me so my solution was to simply install a custom ROM on my device, which almost always has native MiraCast support. I'm not sure your device has any custom ROMs as it seems dependent on your Carrier at this time . You're kind of outta luck for custom ROMs if you're running Verizon Wireless. Sprint/Boost kinda have bootloader locks (means no TWRP) on the LG devices so I went with Motorola for customs..
Also as far as custom ROMs go, LG has recently a bad choice of device mfgr if you like everything working 💯% on custom ROMs.. it's because they use their own proprietary stuff that isn't really compatible with VoLTE. And since they don't share that code with anyone, they're working themselves outta desirability.
