I am just contemplating a Miracast USB dongle anyone know which is a good one for the LG G2, also where does the USB device plug in to? I'm a complete newbie to Miracast and know zilch so far.

I use Netgear PTV3000 and it is excellent for everything, including G2. What do you mean by USB device? It is wireless, HDMI+miniUSB power plug into the device, that's it. Other end can be a charger or just your TV if it has the USB port.
