Root Missing a short key in Galaxy S

Hi,

I'm a long time Nokia user and got my first android phone two weeks ago and there are still some learning to do in order to know how to use it properly. Today I accidentally removed one of the short keys from the home screen and I'm not able to get it back to it's place. To be more exact, it is the messaging short key which is located on the bottom bar of the screen. The other ones (Phone, Contacts & Applications) are still the, but when I'm trying to return the messaging icon back to the bottom bar, I always end up with the trash can over the area where I'm supposed to place the icon.

What can I do, How do I get the icon back on the home screen?

ok go into applications click menu, then stick it on grid view, then menu and click edit again

you should then be able to drag the icon you want into the short key section.

hope that helps.

Thanks bro.. solved my problem.. but i didnt do any deletion of icon. how come it happened on its own??
